There is, of course, a very obvious point to make about the Israel/Lebanon kerfuffle. I've pondered writing about it a few times and, each time, decided against it. The point's too obvious, and my usual sneer-and-run style doesn't seem suited to it.
Fortunately, the far better writers at
the Onion didn't think the same way.
